Happy 1 year Anniversary, Love!June 12, 2011.
Well this baby isn't coming, so let's go get induced.
This baby ain't gonna fit, so let's have a c-section.A star is born! It's a girl! And we named her Violet. My older bro Matthew got married so Violet took her first plane ride at 6 weeks old.My pretty sugar bear. I love her so much.

So now you are all caught up. I'm working part time at my video editing job. The job that I was supposed to be a project manager at, it turned out they needed an editor more and I accepted. It's going good and now that I am part time, I hope to continue my writing in between Violet napping, diaper washing (using cloth and disposables, but trying to cut down on the disposables), baby clothes washing, house cleaning, washing bottles and breast milk containers, pumping (pump, pump it out!) and all the other stuff to do when she is sleeping. Otherwise I'm busy loving her! She's 3 months old and getting very interactive. I love being a mom.

Moving along

Wedding preparations are coming along. All the invites have gone out and I'm starting to get RSVP's. Other than that, not much is going on wedding-wise. Mr. P's sciatic nerve went crazy and decided to punish him by not letting him get comfortable and be in constant pain for the last two weeks, one of which was his spring break. Not a whole lot of fun. Oh, we did get the rings paid off. I got to bring home my second band and his is being sized.
I start my new job next Monday (the 12th) and I am truly excited for that. I hope to excel in this new position. That's all for now. Going this weekend to a makeup counter at Dillards to get tips for the wedding. I am doing my own hair and makeup (did I say that in an earlier blog? oh well) so some tips would help. Also going shopping for new work clothes. Can't wait.
Oh and I'm going to do the slimquick 7 Day Cleanse. I'll keep you posted.

Out with the old

I got a new job! Yay! I am currently a video editor and now I will be going to another company and I will be a project manager. I'm really excited about this new opportunity. I'll also be bringing in more money so maybe my cake can be a little better than I originally budgeted for. Not too much more. Maybe just a little bigger. Hell, maybe not. I like the idea for the cake right now. I think it's perfect. A two-layer cake with white buttercream icing (I don't know the filling yet) and we (my mom and I) are going to decorate it with pink flowers. Simple elegance. I love it. And my dad is making the cake topper--Mr. P and I's initials. But at least I'll be making more money which will help with the wedding. Right now my mom and Markus have paid for almost everything (thank you, love you). Now I can start helping more and not have to worry.
So after the wedding we are going to Cozumel, Mexico to stay in an Adult-Only All-Inclusive resort. I so can't wait for that. And my new job is giving me the time off. Yay, I will be able to buy a couple of bathing suits! What more could a girl ask for? Besides more diamonds of course! You can never have too many diamonds.

Well I guess I can tell you a little bit about the actual wedding. We are getting married in downtown Las Vegas. We live here, well, Boulder City, but I grew up in Vegas and am a true Vegas child--Lights, glitter and anything shiny, I love it! So we are having a Vegas wedding. The reception is at the Beauty Bar located downtown. A great venue and a first for the Beauty Bar. We are staying at the Plaza. I think it will be so much fun and a great experience, especially for the out-of-towners. And Mr. P. and I. Anyway, Mr. P. lets me plan how ever I want to. I'm very budget-conscious so no worries for him. That's it for now. Peace!

Invitations Done

This past Saturday I managed to finish most of my invitations. I sat on our living room floor and stuck labels and stuffed envelopes. Mr. P was there for moral support. I was really excited to get most of them done. The rest I will complete this week and mail them out on Saturday. Then, after the invites were done, I met my mom for a little girl time and a mani/pedi. We did a little shopping, she found an outfit for the wedding and she looks damn good. On the way out of Dillard's, I fell in love with a dish set. The next day Mr. P and I went back to register there. Absolutely gorgeous. Anyway, we went back to the parents house to have dinner. Mark (my stepdad) was bbq'ing Tri-tip and my mom's craving for mashed potatoes and gravy was blissfully satisfied. We went home, went to bed and then next morning I could barely move. Apparently I'm a little too old to sit on the living room floor bending and stretching making invitations because when I made that same movement, my back was in agony. No pain, no gain--I guess.
Well time to send Janis (My Maid of Honor) her color swatch from her dress so she can pick out shoes. She lives in Austin, TX. We've known eachother since we were 15, met in high school.
I had an amazing weekend with Mr. P. He's so great to me. Rubs my back, drinks beers with me, grocery shops with me and takes walks with me. The night I met him, I asked him to marry me and we laughed. He took me on a date the next weekend and then met my parents the weekend after that. I moved in shortly after that and here we are a year and a half later getting married. Man, I love him.

I made one

Well, I didn't do all of my invitations, but I put one completely together and it was my mom's in case I messed up, she'd still take it. I called her to tell her that I made one because I was so excited and then she told me I didn't do it correctly and I need a label on the inside envelope (excitement momentarily lost). She doesn't like my font either, but whatever. I'll make the font on the inside envelope better. So crazy, the invitation is a one-sided card that you put into an envelope that goes into a bigger envelope. I don't get it, but whatever. I did it. I'll put the rest together tonight and tomorrow. Mr. P. is playing racquetball tonight so I guess I'll work out too before starting again on the invites. We almost have all addresses collected. Phew. It's a lot of work this wedding planning but I love him so it's worth it (excitement comes back).

So I guess I'll tell you a little more about Mr. P. and I. We met at a bar in Las Vegas. Tequila Cantina's at about 4am--I'm starting to get my buzz on--I didn't start drinking until about 2am. I went there with my girlfriend Ama and we had some drinks, did some dancing and then when the dj stopped and everyone starting clearing out, a guy came and sat not next to me but one over. The bartenders weren't behind the bar so he couldn't get a drink. I couldn't tell if he was cute or not because he didn't turn towards me. We were getting ready to leave to go to the bar by our house (right down the street). The guy got up from his seat and walked out--I walked right behind him and said "Where you going, cowboy?" No, I didn't really say that. That's something my mom would say. I said something to him like "where are you going" and he turned around, shocked and asked me if I wanted to go have a drink. So we did.

Me

Well hello there,

I guess I just feel like writing about my life. Helps me deal with the daily stresses. So what's new and exciting you ask--I'm getting married in a little under 3 months to a man with the last name Poindexter. Yes, I said Poindexter. My name now is Pflueger (pronounced flu-ger). At least my initials will be the same, which is nice because I go by Carly P. a lot. Anyway, wedding is June 12th, 2010 in downtown Las Vegas. We are really excited. I met Mr. P in January of 2009 and when they say you just know, I think they were right. Before I knew it I moved into his house and we decided that this is it, we are great for each-other and we are going to spend the rest of our lives together. So we got a ring (had to pay it off on layaway) and we are currently paying on everything else for this wedding but it's right on track. We've booked a honeymoon for Cozumel Mexico which should be really exciting because neither of us have ever left the good ol' US of A. So as my wedding plans come together, (he lets me do whatever I want and I'm not greedy or expensive) I will write in this blog and hope that it will help calm me in my daily stresses and excitements. Tonight I am supposed to do the invitations--get them ready to be mailed out so we'll see if I get that accomplished because they need to go out asap.
